Occupational Therapist

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (3 days)
Salary: £36,278 to £44,685 per annum

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is a well-established charity, based in a new purpose built home located within Bellahouston Park.  The Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting and progressive illnesses, providing care and support for their families and carers. 

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and forward thinking registered occupational therapist who can work as team player and has well developed communication skills.

This permanent member of staff will be part of our rehabilitation team as a specialist occupational therapist and will work in collaboration with all hospice specialty teams and within all settings of the hospice.

You should have previous relevant experience to enable you to provide evidence based, individualised specialist occupational therapy to patients within our inpatient unit, living well service, young adult service and outpatient service as well as those patients living within their own home. This part time position enables scope to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service and the demands of the post holder.

You will be committed to delivering high standards of care to people living with life limiting conditions whilst providing support also for their carers.

You will need to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and a desire to work in a caring environment.

You should have previous relevant experience of working with people with life limiting conditions. The post holder will be expected to adhere to statutory regulations and Hospice policies.
