Recycling: the business case

Green Agenda collection box makes it easy to do the right thing!

Just think how many ink and toner cartridges your company gets through in a month, let alone a year.  Yet all it takes is a bit of organising to get your staff into the recycling habit. And it's old cartridges that can turn into cash for the Hospice.

Take mobile phones. As technology moves on, staff are trading in older models even quicker. Don't throw them away. We can recycle them for reuse of raw materials or for refurbishment and redistribution in parts of the world where 'bells & whistles' are not so important as basic communication!

Each year in the UK two million printer cartridges get dumped into a landfill and 15 million mobiles are left sitting at the back of a drawer ... what a waste!

We made over £3,000 last year by recycling out-of-date mobile phones and used cartridges from printers, photocopiers and fax machines cartridges- over £17,000 since we started our recycling programme.  And it's growing every day.

We'll be happy to supply you with a Green Agenda collection box and tips on how to encourage your staff to start recycling.  Just ring Fundraising on 0141 429 5599 or email info@ppwh.org.uk

Check that your cartridges are on the Green Agenda list:
