Legacies

Leaving the Hospice something in your Will makes sure your support for our work continues even after you are gone.

A gift in your Will to The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is

- a gift to patients with cancer and other life threatening illnesses to help them live with their illness and die peacefully

- a gift to the many carers who need specialist support

- a gift to future generations living in the Greater Glasgow area.

A legacy donation is an excellent way to help the people and causes you care about - and, as charitable donations are not taxable, you can divert money that may otherwise go in tax to a cause you believe in and support.

You don't have to be wealthy to leave a legacy

Most of us have something that can be left to others when we are gone. Perhaps you have owned your own home for years and it has increased in value far beyond your expectations. But remember, a legacy is not necessarily money - it could be jewellery or a piece of furniture.

You obviously want to take care of your family and friends first, but if you can then leave a gift to the Hospice in your Will, whatever it is, it will be gratefully received.

A word of advice: always consult a solicitor when making or changing your Will. And if you would like some accurate but informal information first, contact Myra Grant, our Trust and Legacy Fundraiser, on 0141 429 5599 or email myra.grant@ppwh.org.uk

Make a Will

The undernoted Solicitors support the Hospice by donating part, or all, of their Will Making Fee to us.

If you are considering making a Will why not contact one of these Solicitors and advise them you are doing so under the Hospice's Make a Will initiative. Not only will you put your own affairs in order, but you will do so knowing the Hospice will receive a donation at the same time.

Please also remember, after you have made whatever arrangements you choose for your family and friends, if the time is right for you, why not think about leaving a gift in your Will to the Hospice - it really would be The Gift of a Lifetime.
