What can I do?
Approximately 400 people work for us on a voluntary basis. Depending on your interests and skills, you might choose to help out in Carlton Place, in fundraising out in the community or in one of our Hospice shops - or all three!
Some volunteer roles
In the Hospice: working in reception, the library, the café or kitchen. You might contribute particular skills such as hairdressing, complementary therapy, flower arranging, gardening, administration and driving. Or get directly involved in care, helping staff and befriending patients in the Day Care Centre or In-patient Ward.
In Fundraising: staging local fundraising events, selling raffle tickets and rattling collection cans - all great fun and bringing in those valued funds to help keep our doors open.
In the Hospice shops: serving behind the counter, helping sort and price donations, and (in Pollokshaws Road only) working in our coffee shop - every little bit of help in our shops assists in bringing in £250,000 a year to support the Hospice. HELP URGENTLY REQUIRED!!
Whatever you do, it all goes towards making sure that we give our patients the best service we can - and that's why we are all here.
