Helping the Hospice
All Hospice care is free and freely given. Nevertheless, we are a charity and families and friends often want to help us continue our work in recognition of the care their loved one received.
There are many ways to help:
- In Memoriam cards for friends and family suggest a donation in lieu of flowers.
- Cash donations of any sort are always welcome - they qualify for Gift Aid as well.
- Legacies can help avoid Inheritance Tax on estates over a certain amount.
- Hospice shops take unwanted furniture, clothing, books and bric-a-brac - they clear houses too.
- Organising fundraising events such as discos or quiz nights are fun for all.
- Children are some of our best fundraisers - letting them organise a sponsored walk or some other small event can help them work through their grief.
