Our achievements
What patients say: "... an oasis of calm and peace at a time that could not be more distressing."
"It is a terrifying thought to be admitted to the Hospice, but thank goodness I came."
"At night when I couldn't sleep, I didn't have to pretend ... there was always a hot cup of tea and someone to talk to."
"I came in so ill and frightened, but within a few weeks I was back on my feet and enjoying myself so much I forgot I had cancer."
Our finest achievements will always be the care we bring to our patients and their families. However, over two decades we have also built a modern clinical facility and established a system of sound financial management to safeguard our services.
Among our achievements:
- The building. We now own and have fully restored four adjacent townhouses in Carlton Place, extending round the corner in South Portland Street. We have also built a new Day Care Centre extending into Carlton Court.
- External recognition, including:
- Recognised as a specialist palliative care Hospice by NHS Quality Improvement Scotland
- Licensed to provide care services by the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care
- Awarded Investors in People status
- A network of 11 retail shops in and around Glasgow.
- A successful Hospice Lottery.
Our Mission Statement:
To provide high quality clinical, emotional, social and spiritual care for patients who have a progressive, life threatening illness and support for those who care for them
