What we do
Hospice is not a place - it is a concept of care. Our services are accessible through a variety of channels:
Our aim is to help our patients achieve the best possible quality of life in the time remaining to them and to face the inevitable in comfort and dignity. We neither extend life nor hasten death, but we can help our patients live with cancer and deal with the future on their own terms. We also respect cultural, ethnic and religious diversity and support our patients' spiritual needs in whatever way is appropriate to the individual.
Caring for carers
We recognise the importance of family and friends, and help them stay close to their loved one throughout the illness. We know how very difficult the carer's role is and can offer both practical and emotional support.
