Clinical Roles
The Hospice offers excellent careers in palliative care, covering a range of medical, nursing and multi-professional disciplines. This includes doctors, clinical nurse specialists, registered nurses, nursing auxiliaries, therapists and a chaplain as well social workers on secondment, all directly involved in the care of patients.
We have around 250 patients on our register at any one time and are also actively involved in the support of their carers, often seeing them through bereavement.
Our clinical staff work in various locations within the Hospice and out in the community, including the Laurieston Nurses, a 14-bed In-patients Ward, the Day Care Centre and a Pain & Symptom Control Clinic.
Benefits include a competitive salary, a contributory pension scheme (option to continue with the NHS if you are already a member) and on-going education and training.
