Just a £10 donation can
really make a difference
Be a Gift Aid Giver
Thanks to the Gift Aid scheme, your donation to our shops can contribute even more, and it won't cost you a thing. All you have to do is fill in a short form, which enables us to claim back at least 25% of tax when your donation is sold.
What is Gift Aid? Gift Aid is a scheme introduced by HM Revenue and Customs that allows charities to reclaim the tax on any cash donated to them from UK tax payers.
Three simple steps:
Step one - Download and complete our Gift Aid form.
Click here to download our Gift Aid leaflet, print out and follow the instructions. You only need to do it once, giving us your permission to confirm that you're a UK taxpayer. We'll then give you your own donor card and personalised bag labels for the next time you donate.
Step two - When you make a donation, stick one of the labels onto your item or bag.
We'll then track how much is raised when your donation is sold. If you lose your labels, don't worry - just give us your name when you make your drop.
Step three - We'll let you know how much it made
And you can feel great that your donation worked at least 25% harder to help our patients, their families and carers.
For further information, just ask at your local Hospice shop or call 0141 429 5599.
The Small Print:
By signing our Gift Aid Agreement you have agreed that you:
- Understand that Hospice Enterprises Ltd (HE) will attempt to sell the goods on your behalf and that 1% of the sale price will be paid to HE by way of commission.
- Own all items provided for sale and that they were obtained in a legal manner.
- Will be contacted by HE once items are sold confirming your consent that the proceeds of the sale can be donated to The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice (PPWH).
- Allow PPWH to sell the items in whatever manner it decides in order to maximise the value of the sale and to allow PPWH to dispose of those items which in the PPWH's opinion have no saleable value.
- Would like PPWH to treat all donations you make, or have made in the last six years as Gift Aid donations and that you have paid a sufficient amount of income tax and, or, capital gains tax equal to the basic rate of tax that we receive on your donations.
- Will let the PPWH know of any change in your details and/or tax details.
