Schools & Colleges

Schools support the Hospice in many ways, by fundraising, teaching pupils social responsibility and hopefully helping us to recruit the volunteers of the future!

As a school, there are numerous ways you can support us and you'll find lots of good ideas in our Fundraising Ideas section. As well as creating your own fundraising events, you may also wish to get involved in one of the Hospice's own activities which involve schools from all over Glasgow.

Go Yellow Walk

Our annual Go Yellow Walk is a 5k sponsored walk around

Bellahouston Park for Primary 7 pupils. Around 1,500 children participate each year with many fun activities being available on the day as their reward for raising the Hospice around £15,000.

Christmas Appeal

Every Christmas we are given the opportunity to collect for the Hospice at local shopping centres and invite local school choirs to come and perform christmas carols whilst we do so. We also celebrate Christmas in style here at the Hospice and visiting schools Christmas performances for our patients are a great highlight of the festive period.

We'd love the opportunity to come and chat you to about how your school or college can get involved in supporting us. To find out more, please call either Joyce Ross on 0141 429 9811 or email joyce.ross@ppwh.org.uk
