Our friends at Rotary Club of Govan have been long time supporters of the Hospice and for the last five years have organised a wonderful dinner at the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel to raise funds for us.
We're delighted to let you know that thanks to the hard work of Rotary members and the generosity of those who have attended, the event has now raised an amazing £50,000 since it began in 2008.
The event, features a high profile guest speaker all of who have come from or represent Govan. In previous years these have included Lord Advocate Dame Elish Angiolini, creator of 'Rab C Nesbitt' Ian Pattison, songwriter Bill Martin and artist Jim Davis. This year, over 200 guests were entertained by the insights of Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
We'd like to pass on a very heartfelt thanks to the organising committee, members of Govan Rotary and all the guests who have supported the evening over the years. We're already looking forward to the 2013 event!
