Go Yellow Walk 2011
01 Jun 2011

Over 2,200 Glasgow children from 44 schools around the city pulled on their trainers and bright yellow baseball caps to take part in our ninth annual Go Yellow 5K walk around Bellahouston Park.
Kindly sponsored by Robert Wiseman Dairies and supported by Glasgow City Council Parks & Education Services, this year's event has the highest ever number of children participating.

Following the walk, the children had great fun trying a range of outdoor activities including football, rugby, cheerleading, gymnastics, hockey, a reptile trailer and inflatable assault course all kindly provided by local organisations.

A highlight of the day was the race between Hospice mascot Harvey the Heart and mascots from a number of SPL football clubs and other organisations, including Rangers' Broxi Bear, Celtic's Hoopy the Huddle Hound and Active Amy & Andy.
Many thanks to all the schools who supported the event and our brilliant team of volunteers - see you again next year!
