A Fitting Football Tribute
30 Jun 2012
A huge thank you to all of Boab McCrone's friends and family for organising a memorial football match in his honour at Sir Alex Ferguson Park in Braehead.
The two teams taking part in this very special day were Boab's own family and St. Anthony's Old Crocks, which included Tommy Sheridan.
In the end it was the latter who won the match 3-2 but the Hospice were also winners as the family have managed to raise approximately £1,600 for our work through raffle sales, donations at the gate and by selling hot food, sweets, crisps and drinks.
Each year they take part in our Midnight Walk and so far they have managed to raise over £7,000 towards Boab's tribute fund through their enthusiastic fundraising, which is a fantastic achievement!

We'd like to thank everyone involved for coming along on the day, those who offered their support to the family and especially Agnes Nisbet for organising the event.
